Famous for its handmade ice creams without preservatives and made from recipes from Sicily, the brand was founded by two Italian immigrants, Salvatore and Orazio Rametta, in 1975. Soon the sweet began to be sold in colorful cups, on Ipanema Beach, and then also in the sands of Leblon, Copacabana, São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca.
