Opened in 2000, the museologist Mercedes Viegas’ Contemporary Art Gallery develops an intense work of dissemination of Brazilian art. The site brings together exhibitions of national and international artists always investing in new talent. The gallery held a group exhibition and six individual per year. Besides the exhibitions, the space annually promotes courses with curators, critics and historians about contemporary art.
