Founded in 1961, it is one of the most important references of carioca samba.
One of the most important lairs of carioca samba, the Cacique de Ramos was declared an Immaterial Cultural Landmark of the State of Rio de Janeiro and awarded with the Tiradentes Medal for its 50 years of existence, its tradition and its significant contribution to the culture and to Brazilian Pop Music (MPB). The traditional samba circle, along with one of the best feijoadas in the city, takes place every Sunday from 17h to 23h. Admission is free.
