The line in front of the door of an old house on Rua Álvaro Ramos street, in Botafogo, draws the attention of the passers by. Open for 18 years in the same neighborhood, but in different addresses – in has already been on Rua Paulo Barreto, Paulino Fernandes, and São João Batista streets -, Bukowski, aka “Buko”, was born from the combination of three friends’ two passions: booze and good music. The place is open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and holiday eves, and its calendar has themes like transgression, counterculture, and irreverence. It’s not for no reason that the bar’s patron is the German poet with an aggressive style, Charles Bukowski. There are four bars total, three dance floors, and an external area with tables and a hookah shop.
