The famous French bistro was already a success in the capital of São Paulo. The location couldn’t have been better: in the charming region known as “quadrilátero do charme”, on Barão da Torre street, next to the corner with Garcia D’Ávila. The bistro has an extremely charming porch, which is highly disputed by the customers, and also a main room, where there are the bar and the cellar for 1,500 bottles. A counter with very fresh oysters right at the entrance makes the place even more charming. In 2009, Le Vin opened at a second address in the city, at BarraShoppin’s Boulevard Gourmet, in Barra da Tijuca, along with La Vin Pâtisserie, which has also been a great success among the public and the critics for many years in São Paulo.
Like any authentic bistro, Le Vin’s menu (whose kitchen is run by chef Fred Barroso) offers classics of the French cuisine, such as the Canard confit with sautéed potatoes, Cassoulet, Bouef Bourguignon, Steak tartare with fried potato canoes, Entrecôte béarnaise with fried potato canoes, and Veal kidney with mustard sauce, among others. And in the dessert section, we’d like to highlight the traditional Crème Brûlée, the Orange crepe with pistachio ice cream, and the Pain perdu, the famous French toast. There are also around 300 labels of wine, sparkling wines, and champagnes, in an extremely varied wine list.
