That is the essence of Galeto Sat’s, founded in 1962 at Copacabana. The charbroil and cachaça house now has a branch in Botafogo that since 2010 has been managed by the Rabello couple – who, after retiring, decided to buy the bar and switch places, and went from being old regulars of the small saloon with green tiles and granite floor to being on the other side of the counter.
After enjoying the grilled spring chickens – chicken that are slaughtered within 25 days, with 700 grams of meat and crunchy skin served with homemade lemon or orange gravy with garlic, served with the most delicious sides -, you should try the “Barriga do Serjão” (R$ 26), a delicious pork belly crackling, marinated with herbs, served with caramelized mini onions and with canned pickled garlic. To go with it, the Brahma craft beer and the cachaça are the most popular drinks. The list of aguardientes includes, among the aged ones, the brands Barris 39, Harmonie Schnaps, Canarinha, and Áurea Custódia. Among the white cachaças, highlights are the brands Século XVIII, Menino do Rio, Max Cana, Armazém Vieira and Serra Limpa.
