Located in Rio de Janeiro, the Pontal Museum is considered the largest and most significant popular art museum in the country. Its collection – the result of 45 researches and trips across the country by French designer Jacques Van de Beuque – is made up of more than 9,000 pieces by 300 Brazilian artists, produced from the 20th century onwards. In October 2021, the Museum opened a new headquarters in Barra da Tijuca.
