Located in a house from the 30s of eclectic architecture and with 1.500 square-meters that is located a few minutes away from the Estrada de Ferro do Corcovado (Corcovado Rack Railway), Z42 Arte advertises itself as a space for artistic interactions that aims to encourage a dive into the modernity and timelessness of art through debates, workshops and special classes. The idea is to reach out to the public in general and to everyone involved in the process of commercialization, propagation and appreciation of modern Brazilian art.

Currently, Z42 Arte houses 8 ateliers and 7 artists, the office of SANTART – a magazine that received an award by Benny Awards -, a space for the personal collection of the collector Fabio Szwarcwald, an auditorium and 5 exhibition rooms designed by the architect Ivan Pascarelli and by the lighting designer Rogério Emerson.

The house currently allows visitation with prior scheduling through email or telephone.
