Built by the architect Roberto Burle Marx in his residence in the city’s West Zone, the site Burle Marx offers its 365 thousand square meters in a trip by beautiful gardens. The landscape brought together one of the most important collections of tropical and subtropical plants in the world, which has more than 3,500 species. This large set of live plants adapted perfectly to the habitual nature of the site, consisting of mangroves, sandbank and the Atlantic Forest.

The guided tours of the park are accompanied by professional site, presenting visitors the species that inhabit it and tell the story of this important Brazilian architect and landscape designer. In addition to a tour of the botanical part of the space, visitors will also discover architecture, studio paintings and personal collections of Burle Marx plants. There is also the Burle Marx House museum, which preserves 3,125 pieces, including rare objects of art and craft gathered along the landscape of life.
