The Pedra Bonita trail is located inside of the “Parque nacional da Tijuca”, sector C, between Pedra da Gávea and São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. There are steep sections and it can increase the physical wear because of the short vegetation of the place and it does not offer natural sun protection. The walking is nice and goes through reforestation areas with dense forest. The surprise comes when you arrive on the top, that provides a gorgeous view at Gávea stone, Barra beaches, São Conrado, Leblon and Ipanema, besides Dois irmãos hill, Tijuca Forest and some parts of the South.

The trail starts on Pedra Bonita route: To get there, go until the São Conrado edge and go up to Canoas route until meet a sign indicating the beginning of the way. There’s parking and, at the same place, the Rio free flight ramp works, card-post of the city that deserves to be visited and admired. Who knows there’s a wish to finish the beautiful day in a delta or paragliding?
