Situated in a busy area of the city’s West Zone, the Bosque da Barra has 50 hectares. The park was created to environmental preservation, especially of salt marsh vegetation, natural landscape and local wildlife.
The great variety of fauna makes it the ideal place for observe the birds, butterflies, capybaras, tamarins and sloth, besides alligators-of-crop-yellow that can be seen in the forest lakes.
The tree-lined boulevards are great for running and walking. Large grassy areas are ideal for picnics and practice activities. The forest also has parking, toys and fitness equipment.
