The small Japanese establishment oozes charm and is known for its intimate, casual and pleasant atmosphere. And the highlight is in the selection of prime fishes that arrive daily, such as the salmon toro, tuna toro, mackerel, robalo/common snook, Atlantic horse mackerel, big-eye, yellowtail amberjack and rarities of the sea such as the black abalone. Designed by architect Ricardo Guimarães, the environment strays from classic Japanese references. Instead of the dull red, which brings to mind the Japanese flag, mint green and purple bring a sense of harmony to the environment along with the wooden furniture and the fiber light fixtures. Aside from the Japanese food, which is made with the most fresh fishes and seafood, the restaurant also stands out due to its sake list. To encourage knowledge about the drink, the establishment also regularly organizes harmonized dinner in a cool casual environment. In 2015, Minimok opened the city’s first sake cellar.
