A Parisian café in Ipanema.

The Pastry Chef Patricia Lombardi charms the clients with homemade cakes, cheese breads and creative recipes in a café in Ipanema that has the atmosphere of a grandma’s house. That is the selling point of Le P’tit Café, founded and ran by the sisters Patricia and Débora Lombardi, who offer many delicacies made with a homemade touch and French-style refinement, for customers to eat in the establishment’s round tables, to take home or order it delivered to them.

The house’s menu offers some simple recipes, such as the orange and the corn meal cakes, and other recipes like the carrot cake with warm “brigadeiro” (condensed milk and chocolate dessert) syrup, and the Angel Cake – cake made with egg whites and vanilla. Among the savory snacks, the main attraction is the cheese bread, which is sold individually; the delicious treat comes from the city of São João Del Rei (MG). There are also other savory options, such as the cured Minas cheese puff pastry and the quiches of leek and of Brie with apricot jam. In hot days, you can drink an Italian Soda to freshen up, and it comes in the green apple, cranberry, Sicilian lemon and watermelon flavors. Special coffees of the Have a Coffee service of different roasts and producers are also on the menu.
