With wide art-nouveau rooms, large crystal mirrors from Antwerp and French stained glass windows, the traditional Confeitaria Colombo, which opened in 1894, is Cultural and Artistic Heritage of Rio de Janeiro. Over 120 years old, the pastry shop is known for being rendezvous for artists, politicians, scholars – such as Olavo Bilac and rui Barbosa, Villa-Lobos, Chiquinha Gonzaga, and others. On the menu, there are more than 60 confections. They serve breakfast in the morning (until 11 a.m.), lunch and afternoon tea.
