Since 1972.

The classic bar that has the traditional look of a suburban “botequim” (Brazilian pub) is commanded by Donzília Gomes, a Portuguese lady that has lived in Brazil since 1968. She is the one who makes the delicious snacks. The cod or shrimp frittata, the cassava fritter with dried meat, the fried sardine, crackling and the cod fritter are some of the highlights. The bar has received performances from Pixinguinha, who used to live nearby, and the violinist Baden Powell, a concert that was recorded by the French musician Pierre Barouh in his documentary “Saravah”.
