Beach with extensive stretch of sand, ideal for practicing sports such as surf, volleyball and windsurf. Very visited by athletes, it used to host championship surfs and bodyguard. Bathers can enjoy the sun until it set, because the buildings over the beach are shorts. Cycling over the bike path used to be the preferred ride of the residents.
The neighborhood has the cleanest and reserved beaches of the city: Recreio beach, Pontal beach, Macumba beach, Prainha beach and Abricó beach (naturist).

The Pontal stone became a reference because of the music “Do Leme ao Pontal”, by Tim Maia. Reserved beach of exuberant nature.
