The museum, which opened on 18 October 1976, takes up a 16.000 m2 covered area and houses a valuable collection of Brazilian and World’s History of Aviation. The museum emphasizes the importance of preserving aeronautical material and historical documents for future generations on the segment. The collection has airplanes, engines, documents, weapons and other items of historical value. The cultural space receives the logistical support of the University of the Air Force – UNIFA and is administered by the Historical-Cultural Institute of Aeronautics – INACER.
