The Capim Santo, the restaurant headed by chef Morena Leite, which anchors itself on the three standards of healthy cuisine with a French technique and Brazilian ingredients. A success in Trancoso for over 30 years and with branches in São Paulo, the establishment arrived in Rio in July and is located in Barra, with an environment finely decorated in a rustic-chic style, and an amazing suspended garden that brings nature into the VillageMall shopping mall. The restaurant has a countertop for gourmet food divided in stations, with diverse options of salads, grains, vegetables, proteins, pastas and tapiocas. In the à la carte Menu, the coalho cheese (firm white cheese) medallion served with Brazilian ratatouille with chayote, pupunha heart of palm, pumpkin, red onion and tomato (R$ 71) is a great option. As for dessert, a highlight is the green brigadeiro (R$ 6), made with lemongrass and served in a spoon, a reinterpretation of a creation from chef Morena’s grandmother.
