A symbol of gastronomy and in the carioca style, Bar Urca, located on 205 Cândido Gaffrée since 1939, deserves to be visited for enjoyment not only for the beautiful view, but also for the dishes and the iced cold beer.

On the ground floor is the bar itself, on the second floor there is the cozy restaurant where Portuguese and Brazilian mouth-watering delicacies reign. During the 70’s, when Mr. Armando Gomes left his bar in Urca to take Bar Urca over, the upper floor was only a stockroom. The establishment’s fame was built up over the years especially due to the fried sardines, cold beer and first class service.
