In 1988, Barra da Tijuca’s branch was opened and established itself as reference for carioca beverages and gastronomy. The menu is tipically Brazilian, and feijoada is served every day and is considered one of the best in Rio de Janeiro. To drink, the house’s suggestions are academic caipirinha, which is made with key lime, honey and cachaça Seleta, and Brasil cubed, with lime and lemon cubes, jabuticaba, passion fruit and cachaça Cristalina. Barra da Tijuca’s famous Academia da Cachaça’s branch houses, in the museum called Canto de Jeritiba, a collection of over two thousand cachaças that have been produced in Brazil since 1870.
